The varsity girls golf team won the annual Golf Fore A Cure Tournament for breast cancer held at Firewheel GC Thursday.
The girls outdistanced the 2nd place team by 14 shots. Junior Olivia Mitchell was the medalist runner-up with a 71. Sophomore Madison Phung and Freshman Ryan Ko tied for 6th place with 78's.
The girls record for the fall so far is 22-1 with a 1st place and a second place finish in tournaments. In addition to the tournament, breast cancer survivors shared their stories and urged the girls to take preventative measures and educated them on the signs and symptoms of this terrible disease.
