The LTHS Varsity Girls Golf team continued its winning ways this week taking it's 3rd straight Region II Championship at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club. The girls outdistanced the field on day two in strong winds to claim the title by 22 shots over 2nd place Highland Park. Junior Ryan Ko and Freshman Summer Lee tied for 3rd place in the individual race and Senior Madison Phung finished 6th to join Ryan and Summer on the Region II All-Region Team.

The win was the team's 7th of the season in nine tournaments played in. The girls are next in action at the State AAAAA Tournament in Georgetown, Texas on the tough White Wing Golf Course. The girls have finished runner-up in the last two state tournaments and are looking forward to trying to bring home the first state title in golf in Frisco ISD history.

Congratulations to the Liberty Redhawks who took 3rd place and qualified for the state tournament as well.
