The Lebanon Trail football team got its third varsity season off to a great start with a 38-14 road victory Friday over Richardson Berkner.

Quarterback Drew Martin threw a touchdown pass and ran for two others as the Blazers rolled over Barkner. Gregory Hatley had a touchdown run and Jonah Johnson had a touchdown reception for LT.

Berkner scored on its opening possession, but the Lebanon Trail defense didn't allow much after that. The Blazers intercepted a pass and forced Berkner to punt four times.

Lebanon Trail plays its first home game this week, taking on Corsicana at Toyota Stadium on Friday. Lebanon Trail will open District 7-5A Division II play the following week.
