Every time the Lebanon Trail and Memorial football teams play, the game goes down to the wire.

In 2018, the first-ever matchup of Frisco ISD's two newest high schools was won by Memorial 45-40.

In 2019, Lebanon Trail pulled out a 37-35 victory over Memorial.

And on Friday (Oct. 9), in another tight finish at the Ford Center, Lebanon Trail rallied for a 37-35 victory in the 7-5A Division II opener for both teams.

Lebanon Trail was down 28-15 at the half, but the Blazers' defense was strong in the second half. After allowing only a field goal in the third quarter, the LTHS defense forced Memorial to punt three times in the fourth quarter and also intercepted two passes.

Lebanon Trail improved to 3-0 for the first time in its short school history. Memorial fell to 1-2.

Lebanon Trail quarterback Drew Martin threw three touchdown passes and also rushed 14 times for 90 yards and a touchdown. Drew Donley had two touchdowns receiving.

Memorial quarterbacks Ethan Lollar and Charlie Flowers each threw two touchdown passes. Zion Steptoe caught five passes for 148 yards and a touchdown for the Warriors.

Lebanon Trail plays Lake Dallas on Friday (Oct. 16) at FISD Memorial Stadium, while Memorial plays Liberty on Friday at Toyota Stadium.
